Almond Butter
Almond Butter is one of the best food items ever invented. I may be biased to that because I love almonds more than any other nut, so for me almond butter is like peanut butter to most people. Although, I still do love the taste of peanut butter, I just choose almond butter first.
My favorite thing to mix with almond butter is cinnamon. Cinnamon and almond butter are like peanut butter and jelly, they go together perfectly. I can spread and dip lots of food with these two ingredients, or I could easily eat it by the spoonful. Almond butter is my life!
I usually eat the Raw Kirkland Almond Butter from Costco {shown in the picture}. With as much as I eat, this is the best price for the biggest jar with no ingredients besides almonds.
Lately, one of my favorite go to meals has been celery and almond butter for breakfast.
If anyone has ever bought raw almond butter from places like Costco or Trader Joes, you will know how runny it can be, even after putting it in the fridge.
This is why I have created an Almond Butter and Chia Seed Dip that you can spread or dip on just about anything that taste delicious with almond butter - Celery, Carrots, Apples, Bananas, Blueberries, Paleo Bread (or regular bread if you are eating that), and by the spoonful of course!
Ingredients
2 Tbsp's of Almond Butter
Cinnamon
Sea Salt
Directions
Mix all ingredients into a container and enjoy.
This recipe is very simple and it goes a long way. By adding the chia seeds to the almond butter, it makes it a little thicker and easier to dip things in.
Notes:
*For a different taste, you can add Unsweetened Cocoa Powder, Unsweetened Coconut Flakes and other spices to make it the flavor you want.
*I love the touch of sea salt mixed in with the almond butter because it provides a roasted/salted almond taste. If you would prefer to have the flavor of a raw almond, leave the salt out.
